Stallions at Aus Ranch
For the last several years, we have proudly owned two exceptional Paint racebred stallions, My Indian Money and Raise Your Rocket. Each has an exceptional pedigree combining the best of sensible speed horses and each is a remarkable sire. Click on their names to learn more about them.
Sadly,in June of 2009, right at the beginning of breeding season, we lost Raise Your Rocket at age 20. He is greatly missed and we know that next spring will be especially sad when no Raise Your Rocket foals are born. He left us with three extremly fancy foals in 2009, including two very well bred colored fillies. They are his last.
Our dear friends Paul and Bonnie Orvedahl of the Flying O Ranch at Hebron, ND instantly came to our rescue by leasing us their exceptional stallion, Big Country for our My Indian Money daughters. We just can't describe our gratitude for their generousity. Big Country is an own son of World Champion Star Look and the great Champion producer Easy Country Music. If you believe in the genetic power of blue hen female families - you will love Big Country! We are expecting 3 foals by him out of good mares this year - click here to see why we are excited to see them!
My Indian Money
1996 Bay Tobiano Stallion, 16.1 hands, 1300 lbs
Himself a AA SPW at 2, Money is a gorgeous individual who combines size, power, and eye appeal with athletic ability and a great mind. He's an own son of the great Leading Sire Indians Image and the super barrel producing mare, Dialbon si98.
From just four starters, he's already sired 3 AA winners, a regional champion, a superior racehorse, and a twice stakes-placed two year old!
Raise Your Rocket
1989 Brown/Black Tobiano Stallion, 15 hands, 1100 lbs
The quality of our My Indian Money daughters led us to search for a stallion worth breeding to them. We found him! An ROM track sire, "Grandpa" is a proven futurity, rodeo, and 1D barrel sire. He's also an own son of Raise Your Glass and out of a great female family. Raise Your Rocket died in the spring of 2009 but his influence will continue in our breeding program. We have kept several of his daughters in our broodmare band.
